STX operates a fully licensed laboratory in Brisbane (under the QLD Explosives Act and Regulations) to test raw materials and support the manufacture of emulsion and watergel mining explosives.
Raw materials we test
Quality of the raw materials drives the quality and safety of the final explosive. STX tests the key inputs used in emulsion and watergel manufacture.
- Emulsifiers.
- Oils / diesel.
- Ammonium nitrate for emulsion manufacture (porous or high density).
- Calcium and sodium nitrate.
